Felt Angel Tree Topper

I made this cutesy angel for my christmas tree and I focused on stitching techniques, detailing, and making my own pattern!

Process: planning → cutting → stitching → detailing → finished product!

Helpful tips

1. Be patient! Sewing is a work In progress and takes a lot of time to master so my biggest tip would be to trust the process and persevere!

2. Invest in good quality thread and needles. I learned this the hard way and my thread + needles would break easily which is no fun! I think It's much more worth It to just buy the slightly more expensive thread and needles than to keep having to purchase the cheaper ones because then in the end you spend the same amount usually.

Future plans for sewing

I recently got a sewing machine for my birthday and that opens my horizons to lots of new sewing opportunies, including making and hemming my own clothes! I have a hard time finding clothes that either fit my style and/or fit me, and this gives me a chance to personalize my closet to my exact measurments and personal style which is super exciting! I would also love to make short form videos documenting my process, and that can be another creative outlet by editing and engaging with a community who has the same interests as I do.
